Now that the nominees for both the Democratic and Republican parties are known, I thought it was time I jumped in with some thoughts of my own on the upcoming presidential election. In the 2004 election, I found myself spending most of my spare time in the weeks before the election analyzing polls in order to predict the outcome. based on my analysis, I was able to correctly predict the outcomes all states save one (Ohio) which ultimately had me predicting the wrong President...whoops!
Disclaimer: I am not a political scientist, or a sociologist, just a politically active citizen who happens to love statistics.
Now that the nominees have been decided, I am beginning to gather polling data for all 50 states and look forward to sharing my thoughts and findings here. Once all 50 states have data that I can use, I will begin posting it as well as the methodology I am using for my calculations. I look forward to the next few months...it's going to be a very busy fall! Who knew the fall started in June?!
