Electoral Math

6/24: New polls have been released in Utah, Indiana, Michigan and New Mexico. Still no changes to the map, although Indiana, Michigan and New Mexico are very close to changing. Indiana and Michigan are beginning to tilt in Obama's favor, while New Mexico looks to be moving toward McCain. The net change in popular vote is +156,000 for Obama today.

Great Job!!!! However I feel Obama needs to choose wisely in his VP spot or he could lose some credibility he has acknowledged he wants and needs to surround himself with the best and the brightest as VP and in his cabinet . I am sure the majority of voters feel foreign policy is his weakness, so he needs to pick someone with perhaps a little more strength in that are Such as Joe Biden. I would hope Obama doesnt pick McCaskill as the only possible gain he might get is Missouri but how many other states will be turned off by his attempt to woo the woman vote. I dont think that is a smart strategy unless he picks Hillary. In my opinion Obama has more to lose with a bad VP choice than McCain does. And a smart VP choice by McCain will halp rally the GOP behind a candidate they are not overly pleased with. Only time will tell and who knows how many millions may decide not to vote, both parties have a rather large unsatisfied piece of their base.

Thank you for the kind words. I truly appreciate the support. I agree with you that Obama needs to be careful with his pick for VP. Although unless he makes a colossal blunder i.e. Admiral "Why am I here?" Stockdale, I don't think it will have a large effect on the outcome.
