Electoral Math

6/25: New polls have been released in Missouri, California and Nebraska. As a result, an interesting trend is beginning to develop. The LA Times released a poll showing Barack Obama with a 12 point lead over John McCain. Today's poll in California (Rasmussen) shows a 28 point lead in California, which is a considerably wider margin than in previous polling for any pollster, includins a survey USA poll relead 4 days ago showing Obama with only a 12 point lead. At the same time, the Nebraska and Missouri show a gain for McCain, with Missouri changing from a toss-up state to barely McCain. It leads me to wonder if we're headed for fewer toss-up states than originally figured and a more traditional looking electoral map.
