6/28: We have reached a week since my first 50 state projection. For the week, John McCain gained 11 electoral votes (Indiana), while Barack Obama picked up 17 in Michigan based on my latest projections. In addition, a popualr vote lead originally projected at 3.6 million for Obama has expanded to nearly 5.2 million. McCain has a long time to gain some of these votes back and he likely will close the gap somewhat in the weeks ahead. Tomorrow, I will post a week in review to sum things. It has been an exciting week, even though the general election is more than 4 months away.
