Electoral Math

7/31: We end July with 8 new polls in Kentucky, Montana, Texas, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Idaho and California. No changes on the map again today, but the lead in Florida changes from McCain to Obama although, Florida is still far too close to call. (Sen. Obama's lead in Florida right now is estimated at .34%). For the month, Sen. McCain did not net any electoral votes and Sen. Obama actually lost 16 (he picked up 4 in New Hampshire and lost 20 in Ohio.). Sen. McCain also picked up about 350,000 net votes this month (.44%). July was not a game changer, although it favored McCain. A month from now it will be interesting to see where we are, as the conventions get much closer to beginning.
