Electoral Math

8/7: 6 new polls today in 5 states (Oregon, Massachusetts, Alabama, Wisconsin and New York) and one change on the map. Wisconsin is moved from Safe to Leans Obama. In addition, Sen. McCain has moved to with 4.5 million votes (3.22%) in my popular vote projection. Sen. McCain has had an extraordinary run in this weeks polls. He has gained 27 electoral votes, moved another state a rung in his direction and gained a net of just shy of 800,000 votes in just the last 4 days. As we enter into the Olympic season, I suspect polling will begin to slow down and pick u speed again as we head into the Democratic convention in 2 1/2 weeks.
