9/3: 4 new polls today in battleground states result in 2 color changes on the map, but no change in the electoral count. Iowa and Minnesota are both moved from Barely to Leaning Obama today after new polls show and expanding lead for him. As a result, he now has 255 electoral votes in states where he leads by 6 points. In fact, the only state John Kerry carried in 2004 where he does not hold a significant lead is New Hampshire. This means that the campaign is basically down to 3 states, Colorado, Ohio and Virginia. Sen. Obama needs to win only one of these, while Sen. McCain needs to win all 3.
