Popular Vote Trend

6/29: New polls have been released in both Texas and Virginia resulting in a net gain of 140,000 votes for Barack Obama. This is consistent with most other days in the last week or so. This is largely a result of the bump in the polls Obama has gotten since he secured the nomination. Since multiple polls are used in the calculation, there will be some lag time between the current bump and reflection of it in my projections. As we get closer to the election and more polls become available, my method will react much more quickly.
