No news is, well, no news...
For a third consecutive day there have been no new statewide polls. That said, it should be noted that the latest Gallup presidential tracking poll shows Sen. Obama ahead by only 2 points. The same tracking poll showed him ahead by 6 only 2 days ago. As I mentioned in my last post, I was considering the possibility that the momentum he gathered when he became the presumptive nominee had stopped and that might be a green light for Sen. McCain to gain some ground. It appears now that he might be doing just that. With the perceived move toward the middle, Sen. McCain appears to have scored on highlighting this topic. I'm looking forward to more polling data to prove this theory out. I expect we'll get some tomorrow, but then, as the last 3 days has shown, maybe not.
