Electoral Math

8/27: 7 new polls in 6 states today (Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Florida and Rhode Island). 1 change on the map and in the electoral count as New Mexico moves back from toss-up to Barely Obama. This is the send electoral gain he's made in the last 3 days. Both in states in the west, both during the convention. (Bounce, anyone?) Today's move is significant in that with 269 electoral votes, Sen. Obama would have to lose all of the current toss-up states and 1 of the 4 states that are barely on his side (New Mexico, Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota) for Sen. McCain to win.
