9/28: A new Rasmussen poll shows Sen. McCain ahead by 15. This cuts his lead here slightly, down to about 17 points, but Louisiana remains safely McCain's.
8/19: Rasmussen's new poll in Louisiana shows Sen. McCain ahead by 17. Sen. Obama gains slightly, but Louisiana is not likely to be competitive and remains safely McCain's.
7/14: A new Rasmussen poll was released today in Louisiana. John McCain has expanded his lead here to 20 points, up from 9 in their last poll 6 weeks ago. Louisiana was safely Republican previously but the lead has now expanded from 14 to over 19 points in my projection based on this poll.
7/1: Southern Media & Opinion Research released a poll today showing Sen. McCain with a 16 point lead. This is identical to the lead he held in their last poll 3 months ago. It is beginning to appear that the Rasmussen poll of 5/28 is on the fringe of being an outlier. 6/20: McCain will likely keep Louisiana, a traditionally Republican state, in his column by large numbers.
