9/22: 5 new polls in Indiana since my last update all of which are used in my calculation for Indiana show Sen. McCain ahead by about 2 points. Although Indiana is currently a toss-up, it seems likely that it will bacome a barely McCain state again once the Indianapolis Star/Selzer poll is aged out in next week. It appears to be an outlier.
9/5: Howie-Gauge released a poll in Indiana today showing Sen. McCain's lead down to 2 points. To be noted here: This poll was taken between the conventions and may show Obama's post-convention bounce without McCain's. As I mentioned after the last poll, the possibility of moving the state changes. Sen. McCain falls just short of changing the state to Leaning in his direction. It's still possible it could shift in the next poll or two, but polls showing his larger leads are the next to be aged out of my projection.
8/22: Rasmussen has taken its first poll in Indiana during this election cycle. Sen. McCain has a 4 point lead here according to this survey. As a result his lead is cut to just over 4 points here. Indiana remains barely on his side, but it is possible that a new poll which removes the Downs Center poll from the calculation could push Indiana to leaning status.
8/19: Survey USA's new poll in Indiana shows Sen. McCain regaining the lead by 6. Their last poll in June showed Sen. Obama ahead by 1 and I speculated (wrongly as it turns out) that Indiana would become too close to call with another similar result. With this poll, Sen. McCain's lead grows to over 5. Indiana remains barely McCain's.

6/24: A new Survey USA poll has been released and is the second consecutive poll showing Obama with a 1-point lead. The next poll will likely switch the state from barely McCain to a toss-up.
6/20: Indiana has traditionally been a red state, but it would appear Obama , from border state Illinois, is going to attempt to take a run at it.
