8/24: 9 new polls today and 2 changes on the map, both of which result in changes in the electoral count. Nevada is moved from toss-up to barely McCain, and New Mexico is moved from barely Obama to toss-up. Both of these moves are based on new Mason-Dixon polls which I have intimated in my previous posts I am skeptical of. For now, Sen. Obama's electoral lead drops to 26 electoral votes and forces Sen. Obama to win either Ohio, or Virginia and 1 other toss-up state to win the election. Based on this new equation, Sen. Biden's selection as running mate makes sense as he could be helpful in both of those states.
