New Mexico

9/22: 3 new polls show leads for Sen. Obama between 6 & 11 points. For now, New Mexico is moved back to barely Obama. It may move again to leaning Obama as the Rasmussen poll from 2 weeks ago is aged out.

9/10: A new Rasmussen poll shows Sen. McCain ahead by 2. There has been a 15 point swing in the last 2 polls. As a result, Sen. Obama's lead is cut to 1 point and New Mexico is moved again from Barely Obama to Toss-Up.

8/27: Today's new poll by CNN/Time either show a huge convention bump for Sen. Obama or this poll is the king of all outliers. Sen. Obama is shown ahead by 13 in today's poll, a 17 point contrast from the Mason-Dixon poll released just 3 days ago (possibly also an outlier). As a result, Sen. Obama's lead moves back to 4 points and New Mexico is moved from toss-up to Barely Obama.
8/24: Mason-Dixon's new poll in New Mexico shows Sen. McCain with a 4 point lead here. This is the first lead he has held here since April, and I am tempted to think it's an outlier, much in the same I way think all 6 of Mason-Dixon's super poll may be. For now, until these findings can be proven or refuted, Sen. Obama's lead shrinks under 2 points and New Mexico is moved from barely Obama to toss-up status. 8/21: Rasmussen's new poll shows Sen. Obama ahead by 6. He retains his small lead and New Mexico remains barely on his side. 7/25: A new Rasmussen poll in New Mexico shows Sen. Obama's lead down to 5. His lead overall drops to 4.36% and as a result, New Mexico is changed from Leaning to Barely Obama. 6/24: Survey USA has released a new poll in New Mexico showing Obama with a slight lead over McCain albeit smaller than the lead released yesterday by Rasmussen. A similar result in the next poll will result in the state changing from leaning Obama to barely Obama.
6/23: A new Rasmussen poll has been released for New Mexico and confirms a slight edge for Obama.
6/20: New Mexico is leaning Obama right now and could be a devastating loss for McCain as a border state to McCain's home state of Arizona. Obama would love to make McCain spend money here.
