Alabama Primary

Alabama is going to be very tight tomorrow.  Newt Gingrich holds a lead of about .13% in my projection which makes it far too close to call, but I'm going to stick to it.  The math is the math.  Any of the top 3 has a legitimate change to win here, especially since both PPP and Rasmussen show the top 3 candidates within 2 points of each other.  ARG, Capital Survey & Alabama State all show slightly larger gaps between the Gingrich, Romney and Santorum, but it's truly anybody's race here.

Alabama

9/28: 1 new poll this week by Rasmussen shows Sen. McCain ahead by 21. His overall lead expands to 24.

9/18: Survey USA released a new poll in Alabama showing Sen. McCain ahead by 30. His overall lead expands to 23.

9/11: AEA/Capital Survey released a new poll showing Sen. McCain ahead by 20. As a result, Sen. McCain's lead expands to 22.

8/7: AEA/Capital Survey's new poll in Alabama shows little change since their last poll in June. No change overall and Alabama remains safely McCain's.
8/4: Rasmussen's new poll in Alabama shows Sen. McCain ahead by 18. Their previous poll at the end of June showed his lead at only 15. As a result, Sen. McCain's lead expands to just shy of 20 here.
7/9: A new AEA/Capital Survey poll was released today confirming the narrowing of Sen. McCain's lead over Barack Obama. Alabama, will still not likely be competitive, although the gap has been cut from 22 to 19 points with this poll.
6/28: Rasmussen released a survey in Alabama today showing John McCain with a 15 point lead over Barack Obama. This cuts McCain's lead in nearly half since Rasmussen's last poll, but still is far from being a competitive state.
6/20: Alabama as in years past should be an easy win for the Republicans. It is unlikely Obama will attempt to compete here.
